Norwegian Health Officials brand Virus Variants after Black Metal Musicians

While multiple countries have been labeling variants of interest or concern of Covid 19 after letters of the Greek Alphabet, Norwegian Health Officials have concluded based on their data that Greek Letters are for posers.

Norwegian Health Officials have decided to name the variants after figures in one of their greatest cultural achievements, Norwegian Black Metal. Named after multiple figures, we can determine the severity, virulence, immune evasion and its ability to spread based on their names.

Example, The Euronymous Variant was the first variant identified in Wuhan. Officials named it that because Euronymous supposedly invented “True Norwegian Black Metal” and therefor, the OG Variant deserves that title. The Varg Variant would be what we know as the Delta Variant, because though it wasn’t an original virus, it managed to overtake the legacy of Euronymous becoming the dominant and more talked about figure in Black Metal and burned down way more churches. The Faust Variant would be the Omicron Variant because though it spreads quicker the same way everyone knows about Emperor, so far, only one person is confirmed dead from it. The Mu Variant was originally labeled the Necrobutcher variant, because it was on its way to kill the original Euronymous variant but stopped shortly after the  Varg variant (Delta) overtook it. The Abbath variant is next on this list of variants if more tend to threaten the public health of Norway.

Swedish and Polish officials have also decided to go this route in naming Variants such as the Dead Variant and the Nergal Variant. Many have argued that black metal poses a public health risk and just like Covid, is not particular friendly for church gatherings.
