Black/Death Metal band logo’s too hard to read for Instafest

If you were looking for the most Kvlt and trve and most evil Instafestifal lineup of your dreams (or nightmares) unfortunately you got another thing coming. Due to Spotify’s software not being able to make sense of unreadable logos from certain black and death metal fans, many of the true metal-heads will not be able to participate in this super fun activity all the music lovers are sharing on their news feeds. This will just have to be another one of the regular posts that will dominate for a few weeks before everyone gets bored and starts sharing other things regularly.
Spotify CEO commented stating
“Most of these black and death metal logos look like Jackson Pollock paintings that make no sense and do not have clear lettering, so when our engines try to run these bands through our Instafest software, we unfortunately don’t have enough to work with to accurately create them for these listeners. Just look at this death metal band Sanguisugabogg!! As if their name wasn’t hard enough to say, I cant even generate enough coding to include them on this app. Im surprised their label is able to market them. I tried reaching out to a few of these black metal bands but they are either deep in the forrest with no phone receptions (or phones), or they tell me I am a poser for not being able to read it and hang up on me. Font is important to stream the music on our platform. “
Many of these unreadable bands have yet to make a statement on these matters. We do speculate that when they are announced for real festivals, the promoters are just using abstract expressionist paintings and throwing them up on a flyer, either way, it will make the “true” metal heads come out.
