Dr Anthony Fauci has stated that Slipknot masks are protective against Covid 19 but suggests that he uses masks from the Iowa era of the band, rather than masks from their current album We Are Not Your Kind. He sites having Paul Grey and Joey Jordison in the band at that time makes for intense rhythmic protection as well as Corey Taylor’s current mask being totally stupid. 

“When you listen to Iowa, not only are you hit with some of the most intense metal of all time, but the mask they wore have demonstrated total protection against anyone or anything fucking with them. You see how Chris and Craig’s mask manages to keep people at a distance with that long nose and spikes on the side. Nobody wanted to approach Shawn the Clown with that scary mask, as opposed to his Subliminal Verses mask that was just medical gauze. Their current keg member Tortilla Man instantly looses protection upon loosening that zipper. Their guitarist Mick’s mask unfortunately offers little protection as there are holes by the mouth. Then there is Sid’s mask that manages to deliver the perfect rendition of protection with the gas mask while also adding to the level of how fucked up they really are”
