Governor Kathy Hochul has been promoting the Covid 19 vaccine in many shapes and forms. Recently, many people have recorded voicemails sent to peoples phones in order to remind them to get vaccinated before family gatherings and to get the booster as well. Many of the people who work for Governor Hochul have recorded different voice memos to send the reminder. 

One person however, decided to get a little promotion for himself and promote their new death metal band in the voicemail instead. While the voicemail did promote the vaccine, it was very brief and saved till the end. The voice memo is this as quoted 

“This is a call to remind you to check out my new death metal band (Insert shitty name here). We released our new EP and it is an absolute riff beast with insane blast beats, breakdowns, guttural growls and nasty ass riffs. Come see us play at a local Irish pub near you. Also, get vaccinated.” 

I have to say, this is a hell of a way to get some promotion, and I guess you can say he was “fighting the power” in the process which is always pretty metal. Many people who have received the voicemail instantly deleted it once they heard the word band. 

The secretary to the governor tweeted saying that this was unacceptable behavior and the worker who left those voicemails is terminated. Also, his band fucking suck
