Mariah Carey: The feeling is mutual on Pantera’s Walk

Mariah Carey says the feeling is mutual about Pantera’s Walk

Every year on the holiday season, we see multiple Facebook posts and memes condemning Mariah Carey’s classic, All I want for Christmas is You. We have to endure the constant agony and repetition this track provides in just about every department store and eatery.

While this ins understandable, the local metalheads of NYC have been called out by the R&B Legend herself stating that we all listen to the same song every night all year around and can’t comprehend how we can enjoy it so much. She referenced Pantera’s classic song Walk.

“Can any local NYC metalheads refer to any time they were at Duff’s or Lucky 13 Saloon and think of a time when they DIDN’T hear Pantera’s Walk? I think not. Every time I have been to one of these fine metal establishments, I hear the same opening riff and the same individuals chanting ” RE, SPECT, WALK” and then point fingers at each other and ask “ARE YOU TALKING TO ME”. While this is a classic single that deserves much respect (no pun intended)  in the metal community, I find it quite hilarious as my song is on for about a month each year and everyone acts in agony, when this song is played on repeat every night ALL FUCKING YEAR.”

She want on to say that every time she questions this particular track, it is only met with a 2 and a half hour lecture on why Dimebag Darrell was the greatest guitar player of all time.

She offered to make a deal. She will end the distribution of the repetitive Christmas classic IF metal bars remove the same Pantera song off their playlist. Metal establishments have yet to respond.
