His love for the Red Sox doesn’t stop there. Outgoing Mayor Deblasio has shown great love for the reunion of New England Metalcore act Shadows Fall and has always expressed his love for this particular movement over the movement launched in his city that inspired all these bands. 

“I know like the Yankees, Sick of it All, Madball, and Agnostic Front are all based here, but being that I don’t support my own city’s sports teams in favor of Boston’s, I will do the same for our band. Posers like myself tend to gravitate more towards bands such as Unearth, Shadows Fall and Diecast as apposed to the classic NYHC bands.”

Deblasio was not seen at the recent Shadows Fall reunion in Worcester due to the Omicron concerns, however, Deblasio has expressed deep desire to see them again over any potential Madball show or Sick of it All show. Concerns for both his safety and his roots are reasons behind this preference.
