Why you should get to Epicenter 2020

While this picture of the tour flyer should be enough to convince you to get down to North Carolina for Epicenter festival, there is so much more than two nights of Metallica as well as so many other legends such as Disturbed, Deftones, Papa Roach, Gojira and more.
In 2019, The Danny Wimmer festivals have done more than just deliver stacked lineups of classic bands in the rock and metal realm, but were also able to get many headbangers on board with a lot of new bands. At Sonic Temple last year in Columbus Ohio had many amazing performances from younger rock bands such as Badflower, The Jacks, Evan Konrad, ect. In addition, to have artists as heavy as Lamb of God, Gojira and Black Dahlia Murder play on the same day as Papa Roach, Disturbed, and Halestorm, and have the entire festival engaged is something to remember. Louder than Life festival this past fall in Louisville KY was able to become one of the most attended festivals last year, having Skipknot, Guns N’ Roses, Ice Cube decimate the stages, while other bands currently getting their foot in the door such as Crown Lands, White Reaper, Junkbunny and more.
These festivals always open the opportunity to appreciate both older and newer talent, further proving that rock and metal is far from dead.
The Lineup for Epicenter Festival is a true testament to how stacked these lineups are in terms of genre, longevity and ambition. Having Metallica play two nights, while so many bands who have taken inspiration from them holding them up. You have hardcore legends such as Agnostic Front and Sick of it All, with newer hardcore bands such as Power Trip and Code Orange. We got some industrial and tech fun with Ghostmane, 3teeth and Skynd. After their kick ass tour supporting Deep Purple, you have Joyous Wolf carrying the element of classic rock while some other bands such as Through Fire and Saint Asonia bringing a modern vibe to it. Now lets get into the heavy elements, Jinjer who have just recently played their first headlining US tour and nearly selling out the entirety of it will be decimating the stage with the intense riffs and screams, while the flying whales from France, Gojira will be bringing their signature riffs and brutality.
So many bands of so many styles for three days. Classic legends with some newer bands that are ready to continue carrying the torch of metal. You will be able to see your favorite bands while also discovering some new ones that could easily end up on your roster.
