Aftershock 2022
With concerts and festivals coming back full swing in 2022, it is beyond exciting to see legends of rock and heavy metal decimate the stage again and touch all of our hearts in a time when the catharsis music provides is needed more than ever. Regardless of what our taste is, all music will have the same effect of providing joy and release.

DWP has always provided diverse lineups in all festivals all over America whether it would be at Welcome to Rockville, Louder than Life and Epicenter, however this year’s Aftershock Festival provides the ultimate lineup of classic rock, brutal heavy metal and everything in between. While legends such as Slipknot, Kiss, My Chemical Romance and Muse will all be ending these 4 awesome nights, everything building up to these headliners is why every minute of these 4 days will count.
Opening the stages consist of many great newcomers to the scene from all over the world such as Bloodywood from India and Ego Kill Talent from Brazil. In edition, we got Ho99o9, Maggie Lindemann and The Warning all providing everything we enjoy about loud music. Lets not forget how Spiritbox has helped us through the last few months of these wretched years with the realest of Eternal Blue, which many of us will hear for the first time live.
In the realm of rock, you couldn’t possibly ask for more. From Kiss to Muse, from Halestorm to The Pretty reckless, from Nothing More to Chevelle, from Stone Temple Pilots to Black Label Society, everything from classic to modern will be demonstrated on here. These stages will be a time traveling experience as much as a musical experience.
When it comes to the realm of pure heavy metal, Aftershock has got every bit of heaviness you can ask for from Slipknot to Lamb of God to Meshuggah to In Flames, to Killswitch Engage, Whether it would be old school or new school bands from the metal core movement, to the Swedish legends, the pits will be intense and blast beats and intense riffs pierce through the entire festival.
Every bit of rebellion we could as for is provided this year at aftershock with multiple generations of punk and hardcore also being present at this year’s lineup. Danzig will be returning this year after The Original Misfits closed off last years amazing experience. We also have OG’s the Distillers and Bad Religion present while Code Orange and Fever 333 will be showing the world new generations of aggressive hardcore, all to top it off with the long awaited reunion of My Chemical Romance.
We all say that there are so many different genres in the world of rock and heavy metal, well Aftershock 2022 covers just about all of them in this year’s lineup. From aggressive compositions to epic serenading anthems, every genre, every emotion, every generation and every scene will have a set to look forward to this year.
