Louder than Life, the ultimate festival for 2021

After what seemed like an eternity of uncertainty and disappointment, live music is coming back with a vengeance. Many festivals are being announced across the USA with stacked lineup after stacked lineup. Only one festival can make it to number 1 and our choice is Louder than Life in Louisville Kentucky.

First off, let us talk about some of the greatest metal legends being on this festival. Two nights of Metallica, which is fair to assume inspired not only the thrash metal movement, but many other movements afterwards. Two nights playing two unique sets. This is a once in a life time opportunity to catch two set lists that we have never seen before and probably won’t see ever again. We also have the thrash legends Anthrax who are celebrating 40 years of their career as well. Of course we can’t neglect the metal kings Judas Priest who are probably the reason festivals like this are even happening. You can’t beat the classics but they will most certainly beat you at this festival.

Now let us talk about the new comers on the bill as well. I think anyone who follows heavy metal have come across Spirit Box once or twice on the Internet here and there. We are finally going to be able to see them in the flesh after making us cry with their hit single Constance and making us head bang with their killers tracks as well. We also have Contract Collective who brings that classic styles of Industrial music from artists such as Skinny Puppy and Ministry. Tallah who brings the experimental elements of post hardcore, hard rock and grind, in fact we challenge you to find a genre they fit in. Joyous Wolf who killed opening the stage for Deep Purple in 2019 are now ready to also show the world of rock n roll what they are made of.

With the selection of rock bands on the bill, it was as if they selected “The Best of Sirius XM Octane to be on the bill. Sevendust, Seether, Fozzy, Skillet, Red, Starset and plenty more who deliver hard hitting modern rock with epic anthems that will echo beyond this festival. Newcomers showing the world that rock isn’t dead such as Badflower making a return as well as South of Eden, and Aryon Jones will be there to life the genre even higher.

Louder than Life also picked the best selection of metal core bands as well. What is metal core without the legends Killswitch Engage tearing things up. We also have killer front runners such as Wage War and Beartooth who demolished the stage at Sonic Temple Fest in 2019. Ice Nine Kills will also be there to bring their kick ass horror themed metal core to make the hair on our arms raise as much as tour horns themselves. The metal core band you are going to want to see more than ever is newcomers, Currents, who destroy every DIY venue they play when they headliner. They will pack the massive stages into a small venue without a doubt.

We can’t of course neglect to mention the great selection of punk and hardcore on the bill as well. Leaders of the modern hardcore movement such as Code Orange as well as Louisville natives, Knocked Loose will be back once again. Rise Against will uplift spirits and make us stand higher with their epic melodic and rebellious anthems that will make us rise up. Add veterans Pennywise, Helmet and The Distillers to the mix and we have plenty of pissed off energy to let out at this festival.

This is a festival of all genres and let us bring the best of modern and classic hiphop to the fold as well. In 2019, Ice Cube owned the stage and spawned a pit just as massive as any metal artist there. Now we have Cyprus Hill and Snoop Dogg delivering epic classics. Add new and fresh faces Hyro the Hero, Machine Gun Kelly and Ghostmane, we are in for a lineup like no other. Our descriptions above just barley scratch the surface.

We will be partying like its 1999 with bands such as Korn, Staind and Nine Inch Nails and of course, the return of Mudvyane!!! We will have a new era of Warped Tour with Asking Alexandria, Wage War, Escape the Fate and Beartooth. Kicking back to classics such as Metallica, Judas Priest and Janes Addiction. Going all out heavy with Gojira, Killswitch Engage and Anthrax, we will cross genres with Snoop Dogg. We will have epic and unique performances such as The HU to take us through multiple cultures, Sabaton to take us through multiple wars and Avatar that takes us through multiple realities.

There is a band for everyone on this bill for all generations and all styles. It is a music festival for all lovers of life and we will be Louder than Life!!! \m/
